We are the Community Church of the Nazarene (at Hickory) with the strong desire to SERVE our community as a Beacon of Hope, allowing Jesus Christ to lead the charge to minister to the “broken” and those living in the midst of “shattered lives”, including those that have been abused, forgotten, lost, and left behind. Our church is COMMITTED to the strengthening of family units, and through these stronger traditional bonds, the LOVE and NURTURING spirit of our church ministry follows Jesus’ example, as he directed us to minister to the “least of these”.
(Matthew 25:34-36)
How will you represent Christ on Earth? Many people revel in the ideas of having diplomas and scholarships, money in the bank, diplomas, and a successful life. But is it really what God is judging you for? Matthew reminds that God will judge us based on our service to others, when he says: "I was hungry, you gave me something to eat. When i was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When i was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When i was sick, you took care of me, and when i was in jail, you visited me. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in"(Matthew 25:36-36).
Furthermore, we believe, as Nazarenes that Christ was hung on the cross and crucified for the sanctification of our sins, was resurrected after three days, then ascended to heaven. and that he will return to take back his people.
